INTERNATIONAL REPRESENTATION (AUGUST 2008)
Sean King continues to perform well for Great Britain Juniors (born 1989 and later). He takes part in the European Championships in Istanbul in the beginning of September with European powerhouses Croatia, Germany and Italy in the same group.
Conrad Rhodes recently toured with the Great Britain Youth Team (born 1991 and later).
Danny Casey has been selected for the next GB Youth training squad (born 1993 and later).
MIXED LEAGUE SUCCESS (AUGUST 2008)
Results in the three leagues in which Beckenham participate have been mixed. The team finished mid-table in the Winter League competition, and have won 5 of their 9 games in the London League Premier Division. In the Kent League, Beckenham who are seeking to retain the title, lost the key away fixture to chief rivals Hythe, setting up a winner takes all clash in early September.
DOUBLE INVICTA SUCCESS (NOVEMBER 2007)
Congratulations to Invicta! The Kent National League team, which has strong representation from Beckenham, won Divsion
2 of the National League at Bath on the weekend 3/4 November 2007.
Sean King, Will Liddie, Patrick Baker and Greg Jackson, all current Beckenham members, along with former Beckenham representative Paul Philpott, played their part in the successful campaign.
To add to the success, Invicta's second string team, the Marlins, captured the Division 3 title on the weekend 17/18 November, beating Caledonia in a winner takes all match 15-5! The Beckenham representation was: Stuart Collins (c), Ed Bond, Nick Jackson, Mark Cheetham, Matt Spurr, Steve Leathwood, Conrad Rhodes, Paul Cheetham & Greg Candy-Wallace.
